Watching Carmilla again (I’m on season 2 right now) after almost a decade after it came out is weird because it’s like Laura is really getting in my nerves sometimes with how childish she is being. Maybe it’s just because after almost a decade I’m a lot older and have had a lot more life and love experience, but I feel like she is so focused on she wants and on how she feels and how she thinks things should happen that she just kind of…completely disregards so much of Carmilla and what she’s been through and what her needs are too that it just feels very…childishly selfish

I consider this to be the point, like the main conflict of season 2. Laura is 19, Carmilla is 334, and they’ve lived in entirely different universes. The purpose of season 2, imo, is to examine the fallout of the sort of love that blooms between people who fundamentally will never be able to fully understand each other.

I honestly found it very interesting because we all know Laura is 19 and Carmilla is centuries old and much more mature. At the time it came out, I was like 16/17 and I could understand Laura a lot better than Carm. But now that I’m older and have matured a little more and been through more in life and love/relationships, I can understand Carm a lot more. Because you are absolutely right. Both of their life experiences are so different and because of that they won’t ever be able to fully understand the other. But in a way, even though season two got a lil toxic between them, I think the fact that they can never fully understand each other on that fundamental level, which can cause A LOT of issues in a relationship, but still love each other so much and don’t ever fully give up on each other through the whole thing… that makes their love even more beautiful in a way to me.

I know Vordenberg is an evil, old man but he’s still freaking adorable omg

Is Emma Swan the only person in OUAT who knows about 9/11?

Low-key feel like the curse probably gave them memories of seeing it on the news or smthg 🤔

But they never interact with the outside world, so why would they? What does their idea of world history look like? Do they have one? Does Jiminy Cricket know about Pearl Harbor???

I’m running to Reddit for theories 🏃‍♀️ getting a bloody migraine over OUAT timelines wasn’t already enough, bout to do a deep sea dive into how the season 1 curse worked 😭✌️

How’s it going on the investigation?

Do they think ronald raegan is president?

It’s 5am, I’m sat here close to tears (mainly cause I’ve read about the reality of how depressed Henry probably was, I don’t love the kid but jezzz).

In conclusion the writers DID NOT think shit through they seemed to have really fumbled the bag, though I will continue to conduct my research and be back to spit facts 💅

This sorta just confused me more but helped 🤷‍♀️

🫡thank you for your service!

This is fascinating and yet more proof that the writers cannot world build for shit. They needed somebody like tumblr’s ominous friend Neil Gaiman to sort things out for them.

Maybe new stuff randomly appeared and the Curse just made people think it always was there to begin with. A flat screen tv appears on the wall and somebody’s old 80’s tv disappears. There’s no cable anymore just streaming services.

Blockbuster becomes a demolition company after Netflix wipes out home rental competition. “It’s been a store for breaking big rocks and rock associated accessories for as long as I can remember…”

Ohhh yeah and that would also explain how their clothing styles were modern for the time
